Flatwater spot at the mouth of the Río Salado. The natural lagoon formed by the river creates a shallow, flat sheet of water — ideal conditions for learning and freestyle. This is the home spot of Total Kitesurf Conil school.

Wind conditions
Works with westerly (S-SW-W-NW), between 12 and 25 knots. Thermal wind establishes from midday and usually holds until sunset. Outside beach season (1 June to 30 September) riding inside the lagoon is permitted, providing guaranteed flat water.

Best season
Autumn, winter and spring (September–June) bring more wind days and fewer people on the beach.

Recommended level
All levels, especially beginners. Shallow flat water reduces risk during the early stages of learning. Advanced kiters enjoy the conditions for freestyle and unhooked tricks.

Local regulations
Shared-use area with swimmers and pedestrians — take maximum care in the river mouth zone. Respect river access points and do not block beach service vehicle lanes.

How to get there
In Conil de la Frontera, head to the southern end of the seafront promenade car park and park near the bridge over the Río Salado. No facilities in low season.
