Spot at the southern tip of Camposoto beach, facing the islet of the Roman Castle of Sancti Petri. A quiet spot, increasingly well known among kiters in the province.

Wind conditions
Best with westerly (SW-W), between 12 and 25 knots. The ancient Roman causeway running from the castle towards Cádiz shelters the spot from Atlantic swell. Riding is possible both in the channel itself and between Punta del Boquerón and the castle.

Best season
Spring and autumn for an uncrowded session.

Recommended level
Intermediate to advanced. It is essential to ride during slack tide (when the tide is turning) to avoid the strong currents generated in the channel and nearby. When riding the point with easterly wind, low tide is also required to increase the standing-depth area — watch out for exposed rocks in that case. Not recommended for beginners without supervision.

Local regulations
The Sancti Petri castle islet is a protected area with restricted access. Approaching the islet's rocks or the boat anchorage zone is prohibited. Respect the buoy lines of the La Barrosa swimming area.

How to get there
From Chiclana de la Frontera, follow signs to the old fishing village of Sancti Petri. Free parking on the esplanade beside the access to the point.
